Meals and deals!

I had a spontaneous trip to the casino with my bestie the other day. It was $7.99 for the buffet and I hadn't eaten all day so we figured why not. I'm glad we didn't pay more cause it wasn't worth it. We got so many plates because we were to lazy to go back. We didn't even finish one plate.
Yesterday I made dinner for me, myself, and I. It's to bad I have no one to share it with. I need to learn how to cook for just me these days. I always make to much and the left overs just don't taste the same. It was salmon with capers, brussel sprouts with shallots, and a fresh mushroom salad. It was my first time making that. It's white mushrooms, Italian parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Super easy and super good!
I've also had this unbelievable craving for red velvet cheesecake for a week! I decided today would be the perfect day to satisfy it. I was willing to pay up to $15 for the perfect most satisfying slice ever. Well thank you yelp cause this slice was only $3.50 and the BEST I've ever tasted so far! Definitely hit the spot!

NOTW: Ruby Kisses Lime Green With Envy neon

Let me start by saying this is the first and last time I will buy this brand. It started out as thin then got really thick! And the color isn't true to the bottle! It's a really dull neon. I put 3 coats and its really goopy on my nails. It also smells like strong paint thinner. I know polishes smell bad, but this was making me dizzy. I'm very disappointed. I'm going to top it with the hot pink crackle to mask it. I don't have time to re do them now.

Feather extensions

I decided to try out feather extensions. Here's the thing, Dar mentioned to me last year and when I saw them on manequins I thought it was ugly. Then it started to grow on me, and now everyone has them! Kinda annoying but I got them anyway. They're really cute and come in all different kinds of colors. Very easy to put in. I paid 5 for $25. I got a total of 10. You can put them in individually but I bundled 5 pieces together. I like the fact that you can wash and curl them and they stay in for months. The pricing I got was really good. I've seen places charge any where from 3 for $30-$200. It's pretty ridiculous. It's not real hair, they're feathers! I would never pay over $40 for 3 pieces if I never found this hook up. So we'll see hoe long I like these. Right now I love them! I might go back and have her place them closer to my face cause you can't really see them. I got a whole bunch of different colors but they do have the normal colors too.

Random shopping

I've been picking up random things here and there. I've seen some girls talking about new wet n wild products coming out and I was surprised my Target had them. I picked up two palettes. One is silent treatment and the other is walking on eggshells. Both beautiful neutral palettes. I really wanted the hot pink and black palette but my mac hk looks similar enough. And I have so many blacks and hot pinks. The swatches are without a base. You can never have enough neutrals in my book. They also had retractable eyeliners for $1.97. I only use pencil for my lower lash line and usually black. I figured for $2 I wasn't gonna lose anything. I know their $.99 pencils suck and this one seems a lot smoother. It does say it last 12 hours but my swatch test proves otherwise. It smeared right when I ran my finer across it. But hey, who knows it might wear different on the eyes. We shall see.. the rest of the stuff is random polishes, a tattoo sunblock stick that I think is so cute and perfect to throw in my bag, and some cute earrings. Till next time...

NOTD: Essie Bright Tights

Again with the neon! Bed, bath, and beyond had this Essie polish on clearance for $1.99! Couldn't pass that up. I only own one other Essie and its the mint candy Apple. I found that formula really thick after one coat. This was really thin. Idk if its cause it's neon or what. My China glaze neons are a little thin but I needed four coats to get it opaque! I expect it to peel in 3-4 days. however, it is a gorgeous bright neon Orange. I love it! One pic is w/o flash and the other is with. The one with flash is more true to life color.

Neon-Licious Nails

I've been into creme finishes for everything since last year. They are just beautiful! This year I've grown into neons too! On my nails I used China Glaze purple panic(neon). My toes I used Revlon top speed in Guava. It's a beautiful color but I found the formula thick and streaky. I think its cause of the fast drying ingredients. It's weird though cause I don't really have that problem with my maybelline express dry polishes. My hair looked like the color of my nails when I first dyed it hot pink. I need to re bleach to get it that bright again.. but anyway, see you next post!

Finally a haircut & FOTD!

HAIR: I've been meaning to get my hair thinned out for a while now. I have very fine but thick hair. I like it super thin.. Plus I wanted the pink to show more so I had my stylist thin out only the black hair. And then I had this urge to try bangs out again! So I showed her a pic of wispy bangs. I love it! There's a little to much on the sides but I'm just going to grow those out. I need to trim them a little more but I'll wait a bit... It does take a while to fix them how I like them. But it is so worth it! I have this fear of getting to much cut off so I never really cut my hair anymore. I went with a neck length bob before and I hated it so much. But anyways, the pictures are from my phone again. I never use my camera anymore. No time to upload pics and all that. So no photoshop in any of my pics. I have flaws just like everyone else! Luv ya'll! Next up is probably another haul! I did some major shopping the whole day! Got some really good deals! But it was mostly stuff I've been meaning to purchase for a while but I was waiting for good pricing!

EYESHADOW: I rarely wear any eyeshadow anymore. Not cause I don't want to, I just never seem to have time anymore. Work, the divorce, kids, and just everyday life is keeping me busy.
*I have TFSI, MAC painterly paintpot, MAC satellite dreams in the inner corner, the purple from the quad sugarpill palette in the middle of my lid, MAC fig 1 in the outer corner, the purple from the UD purple/silver palette in the crease and contour, and UD zero in the outer corner to deepen it.
I also used MAC strange potion l/g from the Disney Villains collection for the first time on my bare lips and I love it! I don't wear l/s or l/g anymore really so it was nice for a change.

Small haul

I don't really haul hardcore anymore. Lifes been to messy to shop. These are some things I've picked up here and there over the last couple of days. The earings and adoro lashes were only $1! And sallys had buy 2 get one free, so I got dry shampoo(fave brand for dry shampoo), matte clay(works really good for my wispy bangs), and I got volumizing powder that I've heard works wonders on roots. Oh and of course my fave ardell lashes. I bought 4 China glaze crackle but can't find the pink and black one. And 2 bright colors for summer. The reading brush is also from Sallys and it is amazzziinnggg! Best brush EVER! And 5 Revlon polished for $2.37 each. They're 40% off at rite aid this week! I'm glad I got a small retail fix. Now I need to go to MAC to get some essentials and maybe 1 or 2 extra goodies.

I was debating on wendys spicy chicken nuggets and cooking up some tilapia. I decided to go with the fish! I bought these perfect portions of fish for a $1! I easily seasoned it with paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heated up some olive oil and cooked each side for 3-4 mins. Squeezed some lemon juice on it and voila! Dinner is served! Easy 5 min dinner done!

I love steak. Its always a good day if there is a nice piece of med-rare steak in front of me. I like it cooked in butter and pan seared usually. Grilled is ok too but it needs to be evenly cooked. This day I cooked brussel sprouts and a piece of garlic toast. I love brussel sprouts steamed and with a little bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Oh and can't forget the shallots. I didn't have any that day though... ok I'll wrap up my obsession with food up. Lol! Tonight though, is pork chops and bacon wrapped asparagus. Mmm....

I'm trying out blogger from my phone. I hope its simple enough to use so I can post more often. I rarely use a computer these days. Everything is so convienent from a cell these days. I had a nice lunch by myself at sushi loco. I love their atmosphere. It's a very quaint place and they have the best ice tea I've tasted so far. Lunch was only $7.95! Then I went to get a quote for a tattoo. I'll post about that tomorrow. Enjoy the bento box!

Well it's been sooo long since I've been on here. I have so much to say but I'm not going to get into the personal details of my life. Let's just keep it simple as to why I've been gone. If you have a twitter then you probably already know why. I'm basically going through a rough divorce and child custody battle. Life hasn't been very nice to me lately but it could be worse I guess. So I haven't had much time to check blogs, write blogs, etc. I miss doing the whole makeup thing but hopefully I'll be back at full force soon. Hope you guys enjoy this FOTD. I can't even really remember what I was wearing. Oh and I've also dyed my hair black and hot pink! I love it and plan to keep it this way for a while! Till the next time...

Halloween 2010: Candy Girl

This past halloween I was a candy girl. I got the inspiration from pertrilude on YT. I love sugary candies rather than chocolate and loved the idea of a candy crown. I wore regular clothes and just added accessories. The candy crown took the longest to make and it was rather difficult to get those twizzlers through the floral wire. Well worth it though! My makeup only took about 30 mins so it wasn't that bad. The necklace was from the dollar store and the bracelet was made out of now and laters. The sprinkles were my fave part of it! So much color and they stuck so well! My face didn't melt by the end of the day. And eyeshadow didn't crease! I had the makeup on for about 16 hours. Work all the way until I was done with the night.

Wow this fotd was from months and months ago. I don't even remember what occasion it was. I don't wear makeup all the time and I hardly go out so I usually remember the events I dress up for. I just know I used the stila jeweled palette which is still my favorite. I've been staying away from frosty and shimmery finishes but this palette has got me hooked.

The Melting Pot. This was my first time here.. It was my last Wed night with my bestie Dar before she left for school in another state. I'm heartbroken. Once a week we went out for the last 2 years to dinner and ran errands together. I have no partner now. It's pretty sad. She was my stylist and my extra shoulder. But anyway, the dessert made this place worth it. I probably won't eat here again. It's good for a really romantic date and when you have a lot of money to spend. We went on ladies night but it was still pricey. Overall a good place to eat at but I couldn't get over the prices.

Crazee Burger. I got a brie burger. It was delicious. I'm going to start making my burgers like that. I love love love brie cheese. My hubby got a plum venison burger. I didn't taste it but he said he liked it. And I love their Parmesan fries here. For some reason it tastes better when they make it instead of me..

I have a love for sushi! From a restaurant called Miyako. This place is pretty good. Not the best but I'll settle for it. I really like this other place called sushi loco. I just found it about 2 months ago and it's been my spot since.

Last but not least Krispy Kreme donuts. Everyone should know about these babies. If not, you should google it. Melt in your mouth goodness. I love the original glaze. If you haven't tasted one of these, you're missing out.

MAC Venomous Villains Haul

I got a couple of goodies from mac today. Not everyone is impressed with the villains they picked or the products itself. I haven't been buying just to buy or because it looks ok lately. It's just not wise in my budget to do that anymore. I actually haven't bought any makeup in a long time. The last piece of m/u I've bought was from the mac alice + olivia collection. This time I was trying to just stick to 2 items but when I got there I swatched and had to get a couple more. I got a backup of the apple blush but I may just sell it. These are all pieces I don't have any dupes for so I am very happy with my purchases.

Well hello everyone! Long time no blog for sure! I've been so busy with life, work, and family my blog has suffered. But keep up with me on Twitter! I did a full set acrylics all by myself. Gave me a headache for literally days from all the yucky smell but I saved me a nice $40 right there. And now I know to use a face mask.. Not perfect at all since I don't have one of those sanders they use but I'm satisfied. Plus I hear those sanders are horrible for your nails. I cut myself a couple of times from using my 180 grit file to harsh. And I think I made them a little to short. Oh well, trial and error right!?! I wasn't to worried about the polish over spill on my fingers. I figured it would wash off. Alright, hopefully next post will be my haul and top ten under $10.

So I got my 7th tattoo with my bestie last Friday. Man oh man did it hurt! The foot area hurt so bad I almost passed out 3 times. No joke those lines on the foot were the worst. Worst than my wrist! Up the leg felt like a soothing massage! I have a love for flowers. Lilys in particular. I have 7 flowers total tattooed on me. Anyway hope you like this tattoo as much as I do! I love the way my tat guy designs my artwork!

So I've been away.. for almost a month. It could have been longer I was enjoying it. No real reasons as in nothing major happened. Just wanted a "break". I haven't really worn much makeup or played with it lately. Or even hauled! I've bought things here and there but I'm trying to use up what I can. Thinking of doing the project 10 pan. I have so much to say but it's been so long! Or feels so long!!! Anyway for now I'll leave you with some simple nail game I did about a month ago. I am so into blue polish right now! NOTW: Four Leaf Clover

I did this NOTW last week during st. patty's day. It was the perfect color. China Glaze- Four leaf clover(le). Also used a bit of fimo clay and various art deco polishes. The flash really shows the blue tones in this polish. It's a gorgeous green color though..

I didn't go out drinking or anything on that day. It's actually my dad's birthday..I took him to dinner but on that friday...

I tried my hand at 3d art with fimo clay and some small silver beads. I ain't gonna lie, these little beads were a bitch to work with. Too tiny even for nail tweezers. So I ended up just scooping the shits out and sprinkling them like sugar. Don't know how much I will use those due to how hard they are to decorate with. Fimo clay can be my friend sometimes. It's really only my second time using them and I had some curl up on me because I didn't put a top coat right away. I'm liking the 3d effect but it takes a little time to get use to the chunkiness. I got my uv lamp last week along with my gels. I have yet to try it out though...

My apologies for the sloppiness of the CG polish..looks yuck.. It was 12am and I wasn't trying to get it perfect at that point..

Lack of updates is basically laziness. I've been busy but I've been on twitter all the time too so I'm not that busy. I'm just to lazy to upload pics and blah blah blah. Anyways...

I made homemade lasagna, deviled eggs, and sauteed garlic spinach maybe 2 weeks ago. No recipes to jot down though, I just thought I'd post some food porn. Also made some pan seared salmon, baked potato, and broccoli.

The flowers were from a thai restaurant that my dad and I went too. It was made out of radishes. how pretty!

For valentines day, the hubby and I went to a casino/resort. We didn't stay the night we just ate at buffett. Seafood galore there! Crab legs, oysters(I don't eat these but hubby likes em), muscles.. mmm so good. oh and prime rib. But it was well done so it wasn't all that great. I like them med rare.. so these are the nails I rocked. The makeup will be posted another day.

Inspired by Miss Jaclyn Rose... I saw her twit pic her beautiful acrylic nails and I can't get acrylics anymore so I busted out my red glittery polish and painted away. She had a black line instead of hot pink..

I've always been the type to try and stray away from the whole "stick with the seasons when choosing cosmetics". Like don't wear coral or flashy colors in winter. Or don't have light brown hair in winter. Winter is for dark lips, dark hair. blah blah blah blah blah. Frankly I think that is a bunch of bullshit. Crappy cell phone pictures. I'm to lazy to bust my camera out. Today I went to sephora for like the second time in my life. I don't live conveniently close to one and I usually stay in my hood so out of the blue I decided to go. Had a $50 gift card to spend and wanted to check out the stila jeweled collection. Unfortunately these are all LE from MAC. I'm not sure if any of them are MAC PRO colors so if you like them you may want to check on that. I've only used white gold on my inner corner lid and I've never used any of the other ones for my eyeshadow so I decided I would swatch them because I had no recollection of what they looked like. All my pigments get neglected. I'm not really the loose shadow type of girl. Too much fallout to clean up. I'm going to try and use these colors at least once. My other pigments got some love for a while..And of course FLASH washed the colors out a bit but you get the idea of the prettiness of these babies.

I think all I was wearing in this FOTD is MAC texture and magnetic fields. I'm sure the highlight is one of three or all three. MAC phoolf, brule, blanc type. Brule and blanc type are my fave eyeshadows to blend eyeshadow out. Then sometimes I top it off with a frost or some kind of shimmer shadow. Oh for the lips it was MAC viva glam 2 and MAC feeling dreamy(le) lipglass. One of my fave combos =]

Wow it's been almost a freaking month since I have posted a beauty related blog!?! That's just insane!!! I like to blog but have been so lazy and busy..I've been trying to keep up with blogs but that's been a fail too sometimes... I've been on twitter or facebook all the time..just blog hopping has been to time consuming to take up at times. Anyway... This FOTD was from Dec of 2009. When I did this FOTD I was working at Ann Taylor at the time and unfortunately the store I was working at closed down. And I'm not willing to travel any farther to work there once or twice a week.

I think, I think the blush was NARS orgasm.

The lips was just MAC shezam dazzleglass. A favorite of mine!

The highlight was MAC brule.

I know I used MAC bamboo of course and I believe MAC woodwinked.

I'm sad I don't remember what foundation it is cause my skin looks on point!

It's New Years Eve!!! I'm at home hanging out where I want to be. I don't drink or party much anymore. I don't think it's cause I'm getting old, I guess it's just really not my thing right now. I haven't sworn off partying but I really haven't partied since March of this year. Sooo I am enjoying just hanging out and doing nothing! I hope everyone had a great 2009 and 2010 is just as good! I don't really believe in resolutions, I feel you can make changes any time of the year, why wait for a fresh start? Review: Revlon Eyelashes

This will be a long awaited review on Revlon eyelashes. A Revlon representative was kind enough to send me 6 pairs of Revlon lashes at no charge and I told her I would do a review. I've been postponing this for months now. Probably like 3 months so here it goes!

This is what Janet sent me in her email: "There are several styles of glue-on eyelashes available for those who prefer to use glue. For those who want something a little easier to apply, Revlon’s self-adhesive eyelashes are perfect! They require no messy glue, are very easy to apply, and are latex-free, which means they’re gentle on the eyes. Styles range from natural to glamorous, so you can choose the eyelash that completes the look you’re going for."

Here is my take on it: They don't have as many styles as I'd like but they do have very natural styles you can wear on a daily basis. I found the spine to be very flexible on the self adhering lashes. Which is a big PLUS for me. I hate hard spines because they come off easily and are just harder to work with. The self adhesive ones didn't seem promising because I've tried some from another brand before that needed glue from the start. These held up pretty good. They started coming off towards the inner eye after a couple of hours but it did hold up longer than I expected. All I did was put some lash glue to keep it on. The extra adhesive it comes with is very handy once your done with them for the day. The lashes themselves like I said, look very natural so I liked that for work. The hairs were semi-long and blended well with mine(which I love). I don't know if you guys care about packaging but I found the packaging to be a little big. I'd rather have it come in a little tray like some other ones cause I could store them easier. But it's not such a big deal. I found it really easy to put these on. I usually use tweezers to apply lashes but this was do-able with my fingers. So if you're in a rush these may be for you.

Bottom Line:
Price(1 pair):varies-I've seen them at walmart for around $3.99 but drugstore.com has them for $4.19.

Would I purchase: Maybe or maybe not. It really depends, to be honest, I doubt it because I do like another brand better. If I needed natural looking one and am in a rush, then these will be my go to..

For my sister's birthday we went to Vagabond. I drove and it was only parallel parking which was a bitch! I can't parallel park for shit! I had to circle so many times to get a spot but luckily when I did it was easy. So anyway my mom saw this place in the paper and she wanted to try it and my sister didn't care where we ate. I had the mussels. They had a different name for it...something along the lines of moules frites? I can't remember. It was to long ago for my memory. Well beginning of the month is to far back for me. But it was delicious! She had some chicken meal that was good too! I highly recommend this place cause it was fantastic! Their butter/lemon/mayo spread for the bread was THE BEST spread I've ever had! I was getting down on that! Here's some pics!

Los Angeles trip for my birthday

My birthday past a couple of weeks ago and the hubby took me to L.A. I had so much fun and it was our first mini vacation without the kids! I loved it and I needed it more than ever. Get away from the stress for 3 days! I want to go back. I shopped here and there but we mostly ate. And the hotel was beautiful. His friend works for the Marriott so he hooked it up. The rooms usually cost anywhere from $105-$160 or so a night. We got it for $45. Really good deal! On with the pics!

I introduce my husband! We were waiting in line for The Boiling Crab to open. There was already a lot of people in line just like us and just like last time. I know to go early(before they open) so that we don't have to wait in a big ass line

so excited and hungry to get my grub on!!! Best believe I tore that shit up!?!

mmm all that creole, southern style cooked crawfish and shrimp. The flavors just explode in your mouth! I love this place, the one we have here in town sucks compared to this. We ate here twice during our stay.

Hubby's damage! Barely nothing! Probably cause he ate rice with his. I rarely eat rice so I was able to eat a lot more! Also I'm just naturally a fatty!

Marriott Residence Inn! I love this hotel! It was just like having our own studio! Equipped with a stove, microwave, full size fridge, flat screen tv, dining area and more! I would totally live in a place like this if I didn't have kids!

These little donuts are filled with I think a vanilla custard. They are so spongy and good! I wish I bought more but I think I was to full when I pass it again. It was from Lee's sandwiches and it was fresh baked with this cool donut machine! Too bad she wouldn't let me take a picture

hubby bought soju and I drank a little mixed with pina colada. But to be honest, since march of this year, I can't drink. Long story short, in march I had the WORST hangover ever at 4 in the afternoon. So I drank a capful of this stuff mixed with hella juice

Lee's sandwiches(banh mi). Not a fan at all. I'm sorry but I've had wayyy better. The bread was so tough and hard and not much in it at all. I was expecting so much more and I hate being disappointed when it comes to food.

I love Halloween. It's not a holiday so I can't say that it's my favorite holiday but it is by far the best time of the year for me! I use to always wish that I was born on halloween when I was a kiddo. It's the one day a year where you can truly be anyone or anything you want without being judged! It's the best! So I just woke up from a nap. I am lonely. Hubby went out when I got home from work. Sooo I'm thinking of picking up a burrito and doing some makeup shopping. I really shouldn't do any of those but I hate this lonely feeling... Anyway FOTD! I used a wet n wild trio palette that I got in a swap some time ago. It had mauve and berry colors. It was ok. Second time using it and I didn't really like it. But I was on a smoke break at work and decided to take a picture. On the lips I have been wearing MAC ramblin rose lipstick and MAC pink poodle lipgloss. You can't really tell because my cigg took off most of the gloss but it is such a pretty combination together! I love it! Blush is MAC sweetness and NARS orgasm. And face makeup is only maybelline mineral veil in med.

Halloween Look!

I tried out my halloween look today. I wanted to be a dark fairy this year and when Miss Chevious posted this tutorial on her YT I was excited! I did one a little lower than the other side just to see the difference. Everyone at work said it looked like I was gonna be a spider. But ehh I'm gonna throw on a black tutu and some wings soooo maybe then they will tell the difference. I didn't put a full face on, just the eyes and lips. I might switch the blue shadow for pink or whatever tutu color I get. Also, I tried using black track and honestly it sucked. So I used loreal lineur intense in carbon black.

I did these nails I think 2 weeks ago. Not sure. It's the color blooming from Claire's Icing line. Such a pretty shade of lavender.

And I took these pics of the sky around the same time too. I thought it looked really cool.

I used sally hansen insta-dri nail polish in blush rush. I love their colors and brush but it chips sooo fast! With a top coat and without a top coat. It's ridiculous! I wanted to just try out the color but it looked to blah to me so I added some lines and dots.

I can't remember when I did this FOTD. Sometime last week. Anyways, I know I used my UD deluxe palette. The color fishnet and ransom. Then I mixed in some MAC heatherette and MAC seedy pearl. The pink and purple. For a hightlight I think it was MAC pigment in blondes gold. Eyeliner was UD 24/7 zero on the bottom and Loreal lineur intense in mineral gray for the top. I've been using that a lot lately for a softer daytime look. Blush=IDK. Lips was just burts bees chapstick and MAC dazzleglass in funtabulous.

I made this recipe I got from cooking light magazine. I had some salmon I needed to cook up and saw this amazing salmon cake with a lemon mayo dressing. Man this was soooo good! And it was only 7 carbs per cake! Delicious! So basically it's salmon, saltine cracker, eggs, and green onions. There may be more up in there but I can't remember. The dressing was basically lemon, mayo, and...hmm some other stuff.

Some udon I bought at our local Asian market. It's was only 79 cents so I figured why not. I have to be honest though, it wasn't that good. The broth was good but I think when I added the fried tofu the flavor got kinda weird. So next time I won't do that.

Red Haired Pinay!

Soooo I finally used the dye I bought from sally's. Loreal HiColor in red hot for dark hair. Let me tell you I love it! I will def keep up with this! I want to go a little brighter than this so I hope next time I touch up it will get brighter. If not I will step it up on the shade a bit.

I bought this shampoo and the conditioner for color deposit. It was at a pretty good price and I read a lot of reviews where they said it is better than salon formulas. I'll probably use this once a week or once every two weeks. I read it is def not good to wash your hair every day and red is the hardest to keep up with so I will use dry shampoo the days in between.

I also got the pantene red expressions, which is for some reason not sold anywhere within my area all the way to L.A. so I bought it online. It's non color-depositing but the best product for red hair. To keep it vibrant. I will use this in between also. I know pantene sucks and is bad for your hair but I have thoroughly researched this "line" of their products and everyone seems to say it is by far better than john frieda or anything else.

Inside my home with no flash. It's very subtle in the shade or low light areas, so it's perfect! It's like toned down a bit but once you pop into the sun...

...BAM in your face! I love how bright it is in the sun! It's so rich looking! I hate how macro setting enhances my eye bags and wrinkles though! hahahaha

....my blogs are rarely thought out anymore or on a regular basis. More like random poop all over the place! Ok so I haven't done much makeup lately. It's rare that I slap some eyeshadow on my face. I'm hoping to change that soon. I've been neglecting all my eyeshadows pretty much. Even the neutrals I managed to save when my daughter had a fiasco with them. Lately I've been wearing blonde's gold pigment. And using my wnw brow powder in the crease cause I'm to lazy to bring an actual eyeshadow to work. Lame huh? Well whateva, all I've been up to is...saving money for L.A., work, and nothing else really. Just cleaning and being lazy with makeup. Even my days off I don't wear much. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri honestly suck. I love the colors but it chips after 2 days with my poshe top coat. My cheap polishes don't even chip that bad! Or their X-treme wear doesn't either. Maybe I'm not supposed to put a top coat? I love the brush though! I think I just need china glaze in my life.

Do you know what carne asada fries are? If not you're missing out! My favorite food in the world to eat would be carne asada fries! This is by far the best place to get them at in my city. And it's the cheapest. I've tried so many taco shops but I always come back to this place. It's not around the corner like it use to be. It's about a 10-15 min drive depending on traffic. But I swear it's the best!

I love french fries already but when you smother it with guacamole, cheese, and marinated meat...it becomes heaven!

Oh and notice how much I freakin love their hot sauce! That is also what makes this place the best

... I pretty much use almost a full bottle on one plate of carne asada fries. It's delicious!

Hubby and I decided we were going to make homemade carne asada tacos and burritos. It was good but not as good as they make it a Hermanos. Like our burrito station?

Made some peanut noodles. It was thai inspired and it was so good! I hate peanut butter but when you mix it with vinegar and hoisin sauce and let it boil it down, it makes a perfect sauce. Then I made spring rolls with tofu also.

Have you ever heard of tosti locos? This stuff is sooo good! It's way over priced here in the states but when you go to TJ, it's only like $1.00 if that. Here you pay maybe $4-$5. But what's in it is delicious! It's tosti chips with chamoy, lucas, pepinos(cucumbers), jicama, cuerritos(pickled pork skin), hot sauce, chaca chaca, and japanese peaunuts. This is fuckin loveee. It's a snack but fills you up like a dinner.

This face of the day was inspired by one of my past post using the Hello Kitty too dolly palette from mac. You can find that post here. I wanted to use more eyeshadows because it looked pretty blah to me. And I wanted to switch it around a bit. I like the way it came out but I could have blended more. I'm really trying to improve or keep up with some skills. I just haven't been in the mood to wake up extra early to slap some eye shadows on. I never posted about our trip to LA. We went up there to eat at the boiling crab, go to my cousin in law's 1st birthday, and then disneyland. It was a good trip and boiling crab was delicious!

2lbs of crawfish the whole sha-bang, 1lb shrimp whole sha-bang, 1lb of garlic butter for the kiddos.

Ohhh emm geee!?! my dear old blog how I have neglected you so.. I've been busy. Well sorda. I've been busy playing video games, computer games, and watching movies. I like not spending my entire day on the computer. I swear to tell you the complete truth I spend way to much time on the internet. It's pretty damn ridonkulous. Day off today and decided I was gonna do something quick and easy before I went and got an oil change. I busted out my 88 palette and mac sketch. I haven't really used sketch at all so I decided to try it out. In the 88 palette there is a color that is a dupe for it but it has a frost finish. Very pretty plummy brown. Stuff I've gotten over the past couple of weeks or so.

NYC loose powder. I needed a loose powder that wasn't foundation to set my makeup for the summer. I don't want anything heavy or cakey in the summer. I want the dewy, barely there makeup look. So for summer I'm doing tinted moisturizer or one pump foundation and two pumps moisturizer then set with this stuff. It was cheap and contains no mineral oil! It came with a concealer which is shitty as hell. I swear I've tried so many concealers and MAC is by far the best for me.

Eco tools was BOGO at work, and I've wanted these brushes for the longest

I bought these alcohol wipes at work and I love them! Why? Because I use them for a quick clean(brushes) and it dries within a minute or so! So convenient and easy to use! Look at how well it works!

China glaze and L.A. girl polishes! I am obsessed with china glazes! I wish I could buy one a day! L.A. girl I saw at walmart for $2.00. Never tried them before so I hope I like them! I almost bought lustre drops from mac but I'm on a serious budget so I had to pass. They were $18.50 so I just couldn't splurge. But then I saw the mineral one and it's such a dupe for the Bronze Hero lustre drops! And the price was only $6.98 at walmart! That I could afford!

Itty bitty haul from mac. Fierce & Fabulous lipglass, beautiful purple color and brave new bronze lipstick. When I swatched it on my hand it wasn't to appealing but I figured I had wanted it soo bad so I just got it.

I got the clean and clear wipes for free in the mail. Great way to try it before shelling out $6.00. The clean and clear wipes were ok to start with and I was going to buy the whole pack but after a couple of wipes(on different days) I noticed my skin felt a little greasy. And it stung a bit. It says oil free but idk something in it, my skin reacts like a grease ball.
I was at bed bath and beyond and they had basis products! I can't find basis anywhere near me so I was stoked! I love their cleaner clean face wash to death and was hoping I would love these too! And yes I do! I've used a couple of them, and it's just so refreshing and gets all the makeup off. And they're wrapped singly so they don't dry out! I will keep buying these!

This is what I got down on when we went to sonics. We waited and hour to get to the drive thru window so me and the hubby ordered about $30 worth of food. Yes indeed we were fatasses. It was sooo good and I hope they make another sonic even closer to us. Cause I will not wait an hour plus the drive to get some food again. Lol!

I was on this yogurt fix for a while but I've gotten over it. I guess I took this random pic while I was on that fix with intentions of posting it. So I like my yogurt just the original tart flavor with A LOT of mochi, granola bits, pineapple, mango, condensed milk, and honey. Yummmmm!

And I made my easy enchiladas again and put some crema on it. It was delish! Frijoles was my side dish topped with the queso fresco, onions, and olives.

And the same night I decided I wanted some easy fried tuna tacos. All that's inside is tuna mixed with a little mayo, olives, onions and I put a little of the queso fresco. So basically the same stuff in my enchiladas. Then I fried it in oil to get it crispy.

Long story short, I tried to re create at night time so the pics looked washed out and bleh. I used china glazes turned up turquoise and art deco white thin polish. I swear I'm just super in love with china glaze now. They are so pigmented and IMO better than opi. The two opi polishes I have are great colors but they chip after like 3 days with a topcoat. I do want to try the opi nail envy. China glazes have yet to fail me. I love them I love them I love them!

I ordered the lashes when they were on sale from nyx. I haven't tried any of them yet but I keep on hearing good reviews. Not sure what to do with the individual ones since they seem so time consuming and I don't have the right glue.

I also went to wally world and picked up these aquafina chapsticks that I saw from andrea's choice on YT. I wasn't to fond of carmex. I mean, when I was a kid that's all I used but the menthol was just getting to me. I'm not your menthol type of girl. Let me tell you, THESE ARE THE BEST CHAPSTICKS EVER. And I had another coupon for a free rimmel sexy curves mascara! Yay for free stuff! The first one I sent to Kae with the rest of her goodies. And I got sugarimmed dazzleglass. The teal glitter in it got me! It's not so fab on my lips. It's to milky looking for my complexion. I have to make it work somehow though, any tips?

The accessories I got at a little shop for when I had my daughters baptism. Not to shabby for a buck a piece.

I finally hit up sally's and got china glazes for audrey! Man I have wanted that for so long! The color doesn't look to fab in the bottle and I thought "Hey what's the big deal about china glazes?" Now that I have lost my china glaze virginity, gimme gimme more! It's so rich and creamy and pigmented. I love the color on my tan colored skin. I was tagged by neeyuh a while ago and been so busy with my daughter's baptism that was today. gosh do I hate big functions, they're so stressful and never go smoothly no matter how organized I am. Long story short, baby had a COMPLETE MELTDOWN at the church during the whole ceremony and it was ridonkulous, and the buffet double booked us. We reserved for 70 people and got only 50 seats. I was livid! Soo they kicked the other people out since they had paid already and been there a while. They were pissed and I would be to if I were them but a lot my guests were standing with their kids and it wasn't my problem they double booked. I did a simple smokey eye that night. I didn't wear m/u all day but then the bestie and I had to do some shoppin for the clothes I plan to wear for my daughters baptism. I am in my eyes a plus size girl so I can't go out and get clothes at forever 21 or charlotte russe. I don't fit their clothes =(. I wish I did cause they have nice clothes at great prices! Anyway, this is my simple smokey eye look. It's the same as my other two smokey entries(click here for the looks), but I figured I'd post pics anyway. I'm not gonna post products, the only thing I think I did different was blush(which I don't even remember which one I used), and l/g which was MAC dazzleglass in get rich quick.

I had to close at work on that tue and decided I wanted to use my lancome palette. I've used that like once or twice. It's the for sale/swap. After using it this time idk if I still wanna sell it. I really love the blue colors. The bottom row doesn't appeal to me very much. But I love the top. I have to say I do have some MAC dupes for the colors but I don't believe all e/s are the same. I believe they are very close in similarities but not exactly the same. Anyways, my hair is naturally wavy and frizzy. I put a shit load of fuckin mousse to get to to be un frizzy n shit. But I still didn't like it throughout the day at work. I haven't wore my hair like that in probably a year or more. So it was def. a throwback hairstyle for me. plus the bangs look weird with wavy hair.

Oh and if you follow my twitter...I have to say I am starting to love wearing less m/u. I'm getting tired of all these steps I have to take to look like I'm wearing a mask. I mean every product has a purpose but now that I've been without it on days cause I'm to lazy or in a rush, I found that I still look ok without it just makes my face feel heavier at times. I mean, if I had more time to get ready for work then maybe I would do all these steps. Like foundation primer, lash primer, concealer on my hideous fuckin bags, and all the other shit. Lately (past 2-3 days) it's been eyeshadow(maybe), eyeliner, powder(studio fix), brows(NEVER w/o filling them in), and a l/s and l/g. Oh and mascara. Enough with the bullshit of a face. Lmao! But whatevas, idk what to do..prime and everything so I use all the shit I bought or just say fuck it?

Well I never got around to taking the swatches off and just kept it on. I finally decided tonight was the night I'd take it off and do something quick and easy. yes the plum polish is all over my fuckin fingers n shit, it'll come off or I can take an acetone soaked q-tip and wipe it off. I have the least steady hands of all.

*MAC Nylon-My absolute perfect highlight color for brow bone and on my cheek bones.
*NYX white pearl eyeliner-I really do look more awake with this on
*MAC MSF natural med/dark-Gives me a nice subtle sheen
*Loreal telescpoic mascara black-I really love how this gives me so much length but I did notice if I get any flakes in my eye or when taking it off, it burns immensely but I was using it daily in that month

Hey everyone! So I did my friends m/u the other day. Nothing to big she was going to work soon and she never wears m/u. Oh except for mascara. But never powder, blush, eyeshadow, or even lippies. So I thought it would be fun to see her in m/u, and honestly I think she is even more beautiful without it. I think she looks gorgeous but I think I put to much powder. However I do think she needs to own a peach blush! It goes well with her.

So a while back I ate at a place that serves 100% pure ostrich, kangaroo, alligator, and more burgers! I got the ostrich and hubby got the kangaroo. I must say the ostrich tasted funny. But the kangaroo was so good! Next time I think hubby will try alligator. And I might just get a veggie burger.

Ok so here's the deal with this, I've aquired this shit for the longest time. And just been fuckin lazy to post because I wanted to write all the nail polish names cause I love the names people come up with for them! But I am way to lazy and tired to do all that shit now. I needed a soft large makeup bag and this was it! I wasn't to thrilled with it at first but when I opened it and actually used it, it was just what I was looking for. I really wanted the MAC HK one but it was sold out so I settled for this walmart shit.

I went out the bestie prior to recording and it was the end of the night so my makeup looks pretty jank to me and I was and still am pooped tired.
